Flower from Monstera Deliciosa (Delicious Monster)

Flower from Monstera Deliciosa (Delicious Monster)

Monstera Deliciosa

The specific epithet deliciosa means “delicious”, referring to the edible fruit, while monstera means “monstrous,” in reference to the sheer size that this plant can grow to–over 30 feet in many cases. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monstera_deliciosa

I took a stroll through the garden this afternoon and came upon this beauty! I can’t wait for it to ripen, so we can taste the delicious fruit from this beautiful plant.

  • Update.. I thought this was a delicious monster but four hours later it looked like the second image!
  • I’ve read up a bit on it and if I understand it correctly, the second image is now the “flower” that needs to be fertilised.
  • If you know more about this, please drop me a line. 😉
  • Enjoy the photos!

Nan Hua Temple Chinese New Year 2014

Today we went to visit the Budist Temple in a small town, Bronkhorstspruit, not too far from us. Nan Hua Temple opened their doors to the public to celebrate the Chinese New Year, the year of the Horse.

What an amazing experience, we will defenitly do it again. I believe you can also join them for lunch on Sundays.

Here are a couple of my favourites from today:

This was the second piece in the post for today.

This FOTGA Fader ND Filter is adjustable from ND2, ND4, ND8… to ND400 Infinitely, satisfied different shooting conditions. And with 72mm male thread/ 77mm female thread can be mounted to 72mm lens or attached to 77mm additional filter. Compact size for convenient to carry, ideal for famous photographers, film directors or other photography hobby.

and from the supplier:

As stated earlier today, I don’t have my camera, and therefore my lens 😉 with me, so pretty much unable to test these.

In-depth review will be up soon.
